Parents of South Juniors:South Student Services would like to invite you and your junior to our Individual Junior Conferences. Waukesha South counselors, will be meeting individually with parents and students to discuss college and career planning, transcripts, academic progress, course planning, and academic testing history. This is a time for parents to discuss with their child and his/her counselor the above agenda items, as well as students’ strengths, obstacles to success, and parent/student concerns as well as post high school planning. Although parent presence is preferred it is not required to hold the junior conference. The preferred amount of time for conferences is 30 minutes. When selecting your meeting time, please use the drop down window to select a 30 minute time period. If you or your child’s needs necessitate a shorter meeting time, please feel free to schedule a shorter meeting. If you have trouble attending during the available times, please contact your child’s counselor. We look forward to seeing you!
Please contact your child’s counselor with any questions.

Mission StatementLearning, Growing, Succeeding, Every person, Every day!
Home of the BlackshirtsSouth High School is Waukesha’s oldest high school, long known for its outstanding educational programming. When South High School opened its doors December 2, 1957, it was known as Waukesha High School’s South Campus. The 1,460 students are served by 131 well-qualified staff members whose talents and abilities provide a good balance of structured discipline and adventurous learning experiences. The comprehensive curriculum provides opportunities for all students to succeed. Offered are 10 cooperative/internship education programs and nearly 200 course selections with advanced courses in art, business, foreign language, family and consumer economics, industrial education, language arts, mathematics, music, science, social studies, and information technologies. A bilingual program serves nearly 275 students. Opportunities for school involvement are great with 22 sports and 24 extracurricular groups offered to South students. Over 60 percent of South’s graduates go on to a four-year college and 20 percent go on to a two-year college. About 15 percent attend trade or proprietary schools and the remaining enlist in military service or directly enter the work world.
